Mongzu Ki
Mongzu Ki is a cave located in Mokokchung, Nagaland. According to Ao mythology, eagles are the guardian of the village and their descent is celebrated in a festival, Tsüngrem Mong, every year in August.
The Mongzu Ki cave is known as the resting place for spirits of dead eagles, and “Mongzu” means “Eagle’s Nest” in the Ao language. It is said that eagles have nested in the caves for centuries. Mongzu Ki is one of the best-known caves to visit in Mokokchung along with the Langpangkong caves and Fusen Kei Cave.
